As mentioned many times before, we have to live with politics. It is not a question of “if” but a question of “when” and “ how”. Most of us are living comfortable lives while a segment of the population faces uncertainty day in and day out. A sad situation where most of them have no choice. The leaders of the nations make their decisions because they have to. These so-called leaders are under a lot of pressure. Unfortunately, their decisions affect innocent people more than the people in the inner circles. We are at a disadvantage of having to deal with the consequences of the choices that are made by the government officials. Imagine being a leader under those circumstances. On the one side, they have to resolve issues affecting their nation from other unfriendly nations. On the other hand, they have to face politicians within the country. Also, imagine that the leader's opponents are constantly on the offensive. Everything is criticized, whether it is good for the country or not. That is low-level thinking. Seems like they are doing this for the country, but truly it is a survival strategy. It is up to us to follow our conscience without any prejudice. It is not easy for everyone. But we must not fall into this unfortunate trap. We have to be well informed about everything that is happening around us. To know what is right is very important. Again, we have seen the hypocrisy played in front of our eyes daily. For example, recently- about two months ago- an 18-year-old American college student was killed in Chicago by an illegal in this country. When asked about this, Hakeem Jeffries responded with the words, “ We will look into this “ It’s been almost 3 months; virtually no response from him. Ironically, he was very upset about another girl’s “ unfair” treatment about her visa status. Sadly, he is given opportunities to open his mouth for the words of his choice. Yes, it is time to ignore these types of people for good. President Trump has done many things since his second inauguration. We can see that most of his actions are for the betterment of this country, for which he is the president. The war with Iran is the latest in his Agenda. One can sympathize with or criticize Iran for their actions depending on what you know about them. It is hard to get an unbiased perspective about them. Based on the information widely available, they are a regime suppressing women and eagerly seeking a nuclear weapon ambition. If that is materialized, it will not be a pretty sight. They have proven that they cannot be trusted. Examples are many. This war is to stop them from achieving their dream. No other previous American administration has taken any steps towards this goal, either because they did not have the guts or wanted to look the other way to escape from scrutiny. Looking back in retrospect, it all seemed like a joke and a waste of time. As a result of this war, as in many cases before, a lot of people’s lives are affected negatively. But if we look at it with an optimistic view, it will all end, resulting in a better future for everyone. Iranian leaders’ strategy of delaying and procrastinating to come to a sooner resolution is not acceptable. This administration under the leadership of President Trump must end the war sooner. I hope that day will be near. War is never a pleasant experience for anyone. However, if one is determined to drag another into a situation, it will have unexpected consequences. Remember the saying “ A nip in the butt……………..”
