അഞ്ജന, ആൻ മേരി, അനില 

സാൻഫ്രാൻസിസ്കോ: കലിഫോർണിയയിലെ ബേ ഏരിയയിൽ  രണ്ട് മലയാളി യുവതികൾ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു. ഇവരുടെ സുഹൃത്തായ യുവതി അറസ്റ്റിലായിട്ടുണ്ട് .  

മണ്ണുത്തി മുടിക്കോട് തെക്കൂട്ട് വീട്ടില്‍ ഹരിദാസിന്റെയും സുഷമയുടെയും മകള്‍ അഞ്ജന (35), കോട്ടയം ചിങ്ങവനം സ്വദേശിനി ആൻ മേരി മാത്യു എന്നിവരാണ് കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടത്. വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച ഉച്ചയോടെയാണ് സംഭവം.

ചിങ്ങവനം സ്വദേശി ആനിനെ  സാനോസിയിലെ ഫ്‌ലാറ്റിലെ മുറിയില്‍ വെച്ച് കൊലപ്പെടുത്തി.  തൊട്ടടുത്തുള്ള നഗരമായ മിൽപിറ്റസിൽ  ഫ്‌ലാറ്റിന്റെ താഴേക്ക് അഞ്ജനയെ  വിളിച്ച് വരുത്തി കാറിടിപ്പിച്ച് കൊലപ്പെടുത്തിയെന്നാണ് നാട്ടിൽ ബന്ധുക്കള്‍ക്ക് ലഭിച്ച വിവരം.

തുടർന്ന്   കാർ നിർത്താതെ പോകുക ആയിരുന്നു. സംഭവമറിഞ്ഞ അഞ്ജനയുടെ ഭർത്താവ് വിജീഷ് ഉടൻതന്നെ ഇവരുടെ പൊതുസുഹൃത്തായ ആനിന്റെ ഭർത്താവ് ജേക്കബിനെ വിളിച്ച് വിവരം അറിയിച്ചു.

ജേക്കബ് ഉടൻ തന്നെ ഫ്‌ലാറ്റിൽ എത്തി. റൂം തുറന്ന് അകത്ത് പ്രവേശിച്ചപ്പോഴാണ് കുത്തേറ്റ് മരിച്ച നിലയിൽ ആനിനെ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.

വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച (യുഎസ് സമയം) ഉച്ചയോടെയാണ് കൊലപാതകങ്ങൾ നടന്നതെന്ന് റിപ്പോർട്ടുണ്ട്. ശനിയാഴ്ചയാണ് (ഇന്ത്യൻ സമയം) അഞ്ജനയുടെ കുടുംബത്തെ സംഭവത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് അറിയിച്ചത്.

പത്ത് വർഷത്തോളമായി ആൻ മേരി യുഎസിൽ താമസിക്കുന്നു.  എഞ്ചിനീയറാണ് . കോട്ടയത്തെ ചിങ്ങവനം സ്വദേശിയായ പള്ളത്ര  ജേക്കബിന്റെ ഭാര്യയാണ് ,

ആറ് വർഷമായി അഞ്ജന കാലിഫോർണിയയിൽ അധ്യാപികയായി ജോലി ചെയ്തുവരികയാണെന്ന് ബന്ധുക്കൾ പറയുന്നു. പീച്ചിക്ക് സമീപമുള്ള വിലങ്ങന്നൂർ സ്വദേശിയായ ഭർത്താവ് വിജീഷും അവിടെ ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നു.

മൂവരും ഓണാഘോഷത്തിന് ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ ഒത്ത് ചേര്‍ന്നിരുന്നതായി പറയുന്നു. സംഭവം നടക്കുമ്പോള്‍ സോഫ്റ്റ് വെയർ എൻജിനീയറായ അഞ്ജനയുടെ ഭര്‍ത്താവ് വിജിഷ് ജോലിക്ക് പോയിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ഏക മകള്‍ വാമിക മുറിക്കുള്ളില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. കാലിഫോർണിയയിൽ സ്കൂൾ അധ്യാപികയായിരുന്നു അഞ്ജന.  കൊലപാതക കാരണം ഇനിയും വ്യക്തമായിട്ടില്ല.

കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട ഇരുവരുടേയും സുഹൃത്താണ് സംഭവവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് പിടിയിലായിട്ടുള്ള അനിലയെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോർട്ടുകൾ.

On August 28, 2026, at approximately 1:53 PM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a report of a suspicious circumstance in the 700 block of Linda Vista Street. When Officers arrived, they located an unconscious and unresponsive adult female inside the residence suffering from unknown injuries. The victim succumbed to her injuries and medical personnel on scene pronounced her deceased. 

The SJPD Homicide Unit responded to the scene to assist with the investigation. With additional assistance from the Santa Clara County Crime Lab and Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Office, evidence was located at the scene and the victim was found to be suffering from at least one stab wound. This investigation was ruled a homicide. 

Preliminary information revealed the victim and suspect were known to each other and an adult female was quickly identified as the suspect. The identity of the suspect will be revealed at a later time. 

The motive and circumstances surrounding the event are still under investigation.

This incident is being investigated as the City's 17th homicide of 2026.
