What I noticed is that political parties, organizations, or individuals come to power through propaganda and false promises. Once in power, they forget their promises to the people and, promote self interests. Once in power, these people listen to the rich and powerful in the community that supported them and forget the interest of the common people. Common people more interested in their standard of living and income. Instead of focusing on it they fill them with a false sense pf prestige, and portray themselves as protectors of their interests. Their self interests they present as the interest of the people or country. Same thing is President Trump is doing. He is a business man. He listen to the business people of this country, his race or religious interests, and present their interests as the interests of the country. Now he has eyed on the vast resources of oil in Venezuela and Iran. It is true that if they succeed, the oil prices can come down a little bit. But, what about the people of those countries? Their leaders are presented as terrorists or drug traffickers. Is it fair to promote your selfish interests and forget about the well being of others. Same is the mindset behind 'Vandematharam' here. Historically we see this happening in all countries. USA is not an exception

Check your eye sight. People are more interested in their standard of living. Only Hindu fundamentalist see it differently and not the difference between 'Janaganamana' or 'Vandematharam'. Vandematharam was written by a 'matha thewvravaadhi' So, it appeals more to you.
