Into the forest one day came
A man with a gun and spear  
Killed a tiger, lion and serpent 
Brought them out for a display!

In vain he hoped that a big crowd  
Indeed, would cheer up his deed
Expecting such words praising him,
“Great and how gallant you are!”

Those who gathered round him instead 
All stood there with compassion
Called the policemen instantly 
For they thought he was crazy: 
Yes, only a senseless man would
Ever perform such a deed!
