Dr. Kavil was a speaker on August 8, 1995 at SSA World Class Service Communication Workshop, conducted by the Social Security Administration (U.S. Government). His presentation at the 1999 Convention of the World Malayalee Council was on "Entrepreneurial Talents in America: A Minority Perspective" In appreciation of the successful negotiation of the renewal of a $420 million loan for the SSP Project (Narmada) with the World Bank in July 1991, the Honorable Chief Minister of Gujarat State (India) presented an award for Excellence in Community Service to Dr. Kavil in a public function held on September 17,1995.
