ഇന്ന് (ശനി) ഉച്ചക്കു മുന്‍പാണു വെയ്ക്ക് കൗണ്ടിയില്‍ വച്ച് ഹൈവേ 98-ല്‍ അപകടം ഉണ്ടായത്.
പിക്കപ്പില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഗര്‍ഭിണി അടക്കം രണ്ടു പേര്‍ക്ക് പരുക്കുണ്ട്.
യീല്‍ഡ് സൈനില്‍ നിര്‍ത്താതിരുന്നതാണു അപകടത്തിനു കാരണമായി പോലീസ് പറയുന്നത്. ബെന്‍സ് ഓടിച്ചിരുന്നത് ഡോ. ഡെന്നിസ് ആണ്. അദ്ധേഹത്തിനെതിരെ കേസെടുക്കുമെന്നാണു പോലീസ് നല്കുന്ന സൂചന

WAKE FOREST, N.C. — A woman and her 6-year-old son were killed in a crash along Highway 98 in Wake Forest around noon on Saturday, and investigators said her husband was driving.

A spokesperson with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol said a white Mercedes SUV and a white GMC Sierra truck crashed near Moores Pond Road and ended up in a family's front yard. The homeowner rushed out to the crash and found Julie Abraham, 41, and her son, Nicholas Abraham, 6, dead.

An investigation revealed that the husband and father to the victims was driving the Mercedes.

The family in the Mercedes was from Durham. Two other people, including a pregnant woman who was in the GMC Sierra, were injured in the crash.

A third vehicle was struck by flying debris but was not involved in the crash, according to the State Highway Patrol.

Charges are pending against the husband, according to troopers.

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Durham woman and a 6-year-old child were killed and two others were injured Saturday morning in a Wake County wreck on NC Highway 98.

Just before noon, North Carolina Highway Patrol said a vehicle traveling northbound on Moores Pond Road failed to yield the right-of-way when a second vehicle traveling westbound on NC-98 struck the initial vehicle.

Authorities identified the two fatalities as 41-year-old Julie Abraham and 6-year-old Nicholas Abraham both from Durham.

Two others were injured but authorities said they were unsure which vehicle they were in.

Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

WAKE FOREST, N.C. — Two people were killed after a crash along Highway 98 in Wake Forest around noon on Saturday.

Officials said the road was reopened around 2 p.m. Saturday.

WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WNCN) — A Durham woman and a young boy who were in the same car died in a crash in Wake County late Saturday morning, officials say.

The wreck was reported at 11:55 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of N.C. 98 and Moores Pond Road, east of Wake Forest, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened when the woman and boy were in a car traveling north along Moores Pond Road and failed to yield the right-of-way at N.C. 98, the highway patrol said.

A car heading west on N.C. 98 collided with the car containing the woman and boy.

Julie Abraham, 41, and Nicholas Abraham, 6, both of the same address in Durham, died, according to officials.
