ഹ്രസ്വമായ പ്രസംഗത്തില്‍ ഓരോ ഇന്ത്യാക്കാരനും അഞ്ചു വിദേശിയെയെങ്കിലും ടൂറിസ്റ്റായി ഇന്ത്യയിലേക്ക് അയക്കണമെന്നു മോഡി പറഞ്ഞു. ശുചീകരണത്തിന്റെ പ്രാധാന്യം എടുത്തു പറഞ്ഞ പ്രധാനമന്തി തന്റെ ചായ വില്പനക്കാരനായുള്ള എളിയ തുടക്കവും അനുസ്മരിച്ചു. മാഡിസന്‍ സ്‌ക്വയര്‍ ഗാര്‍ഡനിലെന്ന പോലെ ചായ്‌വാലാ പരാമര്‍ശം ഇവിടെയും കയ്യടി നേടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

Dinner in Honor of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi: Sunny Wycliffe

Ambassador of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar has officially invited J. John (Sunny) Wycliffe, one of the three Seventh-day Adventists to the Dinner in Honor of Prime Minister of India, Hon. Narendra Modi.  The 7 course dinner was on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 6:15 pm at the The Grand Ballroom, The Pierre, A Taj Hotel in 2 E 61st Street, New York, NY 10065.  To my personal knowledge for over 42 years this dinner was the most elaborate one in honor of Modi.

The Public rally of India’s Prime Minister, Hon. Narendra Modi was at the Madison Square Garden, New York City on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 9:30 am onwards. It is a FREE event and the organizers are expecting thousands and thousands of Indian Americans from all over the USA to attend this event.

This was an unexpected opportunity which God brought to me.  As in the past 40 plus years, this will give me a great opportunity to witness to most of the non-Christians and inform them about the Seventh-day Adventist church.  The dinner was pure vegetarian and no alcoholic drinks served.  Another health principles of the Seventh-day Adventist Church!

All the invited guests numbering over 700 were able to meet, shake hands and have a photograph taken with the Prime Minister which was arranged by the Embassy of India, Washington, DC.  Kenny Cherian and Razik Ohal were the other two Seventh-day Adventists attended this function. When Sunny met him, he presented the tricolor shawl to him and also invited him again to inaugurate and deliver the inaugural address of the 100th anniversary celebrations of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kerala on Friday, Oct. 24 at 2:00 pm.  He explained his inability to come but wished us all the best.   I mentioned the World President, Elder Ted and his wife will be in attendance.  Thanks to A. J. Tito and Hemand for working with me, the Kerala Government has honored the Wilsons to be the official Guests of the Kerala State with all the benefits.  Thanks to Ted Wilson for his encouragements and support.

Sunny Wycliffe is a third generation Seventh-day Adventist from Kerala, India.   Since 1972, they are members of the Sligo Seventh-day Adventist church, Takoma Park, MD, USA.  His wife, Dr. Tresa, a retired educationist from the Montgomery County Public Schools, Rockville, Maryland and Sunny, after nearly 40 years of service to the church, retired from the World Church Quarters of the Seventh-day Adventists in Silver Spring, MD.  They have three sons, Jason, Jeff and Joy and Jeena Molly the only daughter with a total of 7 grand girls and 2 grandsons.  They now live in Frederick, MD.

He has been witnessing for over 50 years to people in high places.
