Joseph Chummar Vettimattam (Kuttappan-91) passed away in New York.

Mr. Joseph Chummar Vettimattam was born on February 21, 1923 as the eldest son to Chummar & Anna Vettimattam. He was the brother of late George Vettimattam, late Chacko Vettimattam, and Penamma Vadathala. He was married to Mary Joseph on June 10th, 1951. 

Survived By: Wife: Mary Joseph (Eranacal Family, Thuruthicad) 

Children: Annie & Late Kuriakose Mathew Iddasseril; Joseph (Franky) Kusu Vettimattam; Cyril (Berty) & Anne Joseph

Grandchildren: Preena & Dan Lake, Savio & Cimi Mathew, Melanie & Joel Vettimattam, Steven Joseph

Great-grandchildren: Noel & Austina Mathew

Joseph Chummar Vettimattam, was a loving son, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. After moving to Bombay when he was only 18 years old, he gained a position as an Assistant Driver in the Indian Railways. He was a self-made man, something which he wanted all of his children and grandchildren to be. He was a great inspiration to all; offering great advice to those who asked, encouraging his children and grandchildren to achieve academic success, and always lending a helping hand to those who asked for it.
