Pak Jihad Council alleges Kashmir missionaries pursue secret agenda

Islamabad, April 29, 2013: Expressing serious concern over the activities of Christian missionaries in Kashmir, the United Jihad Council (UJC) on Monday alleged that the missionaries working in the Valley were pursuing a “secret agenda.” “Christian missionaries are exploiting poor and needy people by offering them financial packages for changing their religion,” the UJC spokesman Syed Sadaqat Hussain said in a statement. Terming it as highly condemnable act he said, “Islam is the religion of peace and harmony that provides complete protection to minorities. However, anti-Islam activities of a few people cannot be tolerated.”

The UJC asked the missionaries who have been involved in such practices to shun their activities forthwith and vacate Kashmir immediately. “Otherwise, they will be themselves responsible for the consequences whatsoever,” the spokesman added. He appealed religious and political organizations to devise a comprehensive mechanism to extend helping hand to the poor and needy.
