Happy Valentine day greetings to all ‘emalayalee’ readers! Valentine day reminds me of the mystery in ‘pranayam’ as it is the love relationship between a husband and wife where both become one in love relationship. This relationship is designed by God who planned the husband-wife relationship. The imagery used throughout Bible to define the relationship of God and man is the same husband-wife relationship with Christ as husband or Groom and the Church as the Bride or wife. It is a mystery and it is also the mystery in ‘pranayam’. It is a relationship of complete trust and of submission to each other. Is there any other relationship as husband-wife relationship where one submit to the other trusting completely and naked without any shame. It is a type of worship where man submits to God completely trusting fully in God. God (Jesus Christ) also submitted to mankind completely sacrificing his life for her (church) on the cross to regain her from the control of Satan. This is imagery is comparable to many of our movie stories where the villain rescue the sweetheart kidnapped by the villain by sacrificing his own life for her. This is the mystery in ‘pranayam’. It is also a type of ‘bhranth’. Ancient city of Troy burned down in the Trojan War between Troy and Greece because of this ‘bhranthu’. Was not it ‘bhranth’ of ‘pranayam’ that Edward of England gave up the British throne for this love or ‘pranayam’ to his sweet heart? In ideal ‘pranayam’, the husband and wife do everything to make the other the happiest husband or wife by submitting to the other fully and completely?
