SAVIOR IN A MANGER, THE ANCHOR OF OUR HOPE (Philip Eapen)

Awesome is our God and awesome are His works.

He created man in His own image, crowned him with all blessings,

 And put him in the beautiful Garden of Eden.

Gave him a beautiful woman as partner,

As God did not want man to be lonely and alone.

Abundant were the blessings, but not without strings attached.

Forbidden was the fruit of one tree in the garden.

 Tempted by Satan, they ate the forbidden fruit;

Broke they the commandment of the Creator.

Disobedience did not go unpunished.

Brought He death to man’s otherwise everlasting life.

God did not give up on His Creation despite their disobedience.

Instead moved He to empathy and compassion when He saw them going astray.

Designed He a magnificent Salvation Plan to redeem His Creation.

In the place of man paying the price for his disobedience,

Father God gave His Son to be a “propitiation” to pay the price.

He chose Virgin Mary to conceive the Son of God,

And thus she became the earthly mother for the Son of God.

In the fullness of time, Mary delivered a child as divinely planned and devised.

Angels ascended and descended carrying the message from their Master.

 Brought they good tidings of great joy and peace to those who were in darkness and despair.

  Born in a stable not in a palace, not as a prince but as a son of man.

They wrapped the baby in swaddling clothes and put him in a Manger.

Millenniums have come, millenniums have gone;

But the message of Christmas has not changed.

“Savior in a Manger” is what Christmas is all about.

He is the Anchor of our Hope in a world of fear and frustration.

“Have A Merry Christmas”
