Jaimi John was born in Chemperi, Kannur on June 14, 1976 to T.T. Ulahannan and Marykutty John (Thekkedathe House). Jaimi had three brothers Jason, Jayesh, Jaigy and a younger sister Jasmine. As a teenager, Jaimi had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed sports such as pole vaulting and mountain hiking. 

He went on to graduate with a MSW degree, and worked as Social Worker in Kerala prior to marrying the love of his life Bincy Cherian in 2006. He then relocated to the U.S. and had two beautiful children, Hannah and Joshua. 

Jaimi was also an avid photographer and enjoyed traveling, especially with his family. Jaimi was a man of great faith and was an active member of St. Mary’s Syro Malabar Church in Bethpage, NY. Jaimi’s gentle spirit and his unwavering trust in God came before all else and colored all aspects of his life. Jaimi was a wonderful son, a loving brother, a dedicated husband, and a devoted father. Jami’s love for people, his warm personality and his humility was portrayed through the care he provided for his mother-in-law as well as for the patients at Creedmore Psychiatric Facility.  

On September 6th, 2019 Jaimi John died peacefully at his house in Franklin Square, NY. 

Jaimi is survived by his parents, his wife, his two children, and his four siblings. He will forever be missed, but his memory and the legacy of a life well lived will never be forgotten.
