LITTLE FERRY — A 29-year-old mother charged with killing her 5-day-old daughter in her apartment by slicing her throat and arm with a knife on Thursday told police she didn’t want her child, according to court records.

On Thursday, Bhavsar initially called 911 around 8:30 p.m. stating she had chest pains, according to an affidavit.
“After a brief moment, she then stated that ‘someone was trying to kill her,’ " according to the affidavit. "She then stated that it was in fact her husband who was trying to kill her, and that he was presently armed with a knife and in the living room of their apartment.”

“At this time, Hiralbahen exited a rear bedroom and began stating, ‘No, no not him. I did it. I killed my baby,” according to the affidavit.
Police found the lifeless baby on the bed of the bedroom with wounds to her arm and neck, according to the affidavit.
