വാഷിങ്ടണ്‍: യുഎസ് പൊതു തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില്‍ മത്സരിച്ചു വിജയിച്ച സ്ഥാനാര്‍ത്ഥികളില്‍ 91% വിവിധ ക്രൈസ്തവ വിഭാഗങ്ങളെ പ്രതിനിധികരിക്കുന്നവരാണെന്ന് പ്യു റിസേര്‍ച്ച് സെന്റര്‍ നടത്തിയ പഠനത്തില്‍ വ്യക്തമായി.കഴിഞ്ഞ യുഎസ് ഹൗസ്സില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന 92% ത്തില്‍ നിന്നും ഒരു ശതമാനം കുറവാണ് പുതിയ യുഎസ് ഹൗസില്‍.

തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട റിപ്പബ്ലിക്കന്‍ പാര്‍ട്ടിയിലെ 293 പേരില്‍ 2 പേരൊഴികെ എല്ലാവരും ക്രൈസ്തവ മത വിഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍ പെട്ടവരാണ്. ന്യുയോര്‍ക്കില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള ലി സെല്‍ഡില്‍, ടെന്നിസ്സിയില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള ഡേവിഡ് കസ്റ്റോഫ് എന്നിവര്‍ ജ്യൂയിഷ് അംഗങ്ങളാണ്.

ഡമോക്രാറ്റിക്ക് പാര്‍ട്ടിയിലെ 242 അംഗങ്ങളില്‍ 80 ശതമാനം ക്രൈസ്തവരാ ണെങ്കില്‍ 28 പേര്‍ ജ്യൂയിഷും, മൂന്ന് ഹിന്ദുക്കളും, 2 മുസ്ലീമുകളും, ഒരാള്‍ യൂണിറ്റേറിയന്‍ യൂണിവേഴ്‌സ് ലിസ്റ്റുമാണ്. അരിസോണയില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള ഡമോക്രാറ്റിക് പ്രതിനിധി ക്രിസ്റ്റ്യന്‍ സൈനിമ ഒരു മത വിഭാഗത്തിലും ഉള്‍പ്പെടുന്നില്ല.

യുഎസ് കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ്സിലെ 485 അംഗങ്ങളില്‍ പ്രൊട്ടസ്റ്റന്റ് 299(55.9%), കാത്തലിക് 168(31.4%) ബാപ്റ്റിസ്റ്റ് 72(13.5%), മെത്തഡിസ്റ്റ് 44(8.2) ആംഗ്ലിക്കന്‍ എപ്പിസ്‌കോപ്പല്‍ 35(6.5%) തുടങ്ങിയവരും ബുദ്ധിസ്റ്റ് 3(0.6%) മുസ്ലീം 2(0.4%), ഹിന്ദു 3(0.6) ശതമാനവുമാണ്. മറ്റ് മതവിഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍പ്പെട്ടവരുടെ ലിസ്റ്റുകള്‍ പൂര്‍ണ്ണമായും ഇതില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടില്ല.

Here in USA eventhough the Christain population and the elected representatives majority are christains, here a everybody is treated equally. Here there are no christain fundamentalism. Even Good Friday is working day here. Hindus and all religions can build their temples, collect money, preach, convert anybody. There are complete religious freedom here in USA. That is what this country/USA make great. Where as look at India, the majority wanted Hinduvatha every where. What Mody/BJP/RSS are dong there in India? Let India, Indian Hindus must learn so many things from USA. No sense in saying traditional Indian Hindu values etc. Respect each other. Protect the minority. Mody came to power by sprading the Hinduvatha. Now some state elections are declared. Modys principlkes must be thrown out. The rupee note problem is killing us. He is supporting and helping the black money hordewrs in principle.
