ലോസ് ആഞ്ച് ലസ്: ബോളിവുഡ് താരം ഷാരൂഖ് ഖാനെ ലോസാഞ്ചലസ് വിമാനത്താവളത്തില്‍ ഇമിഗ്രേഷന്‍ വിഭാഗം തടഞ്ഞുവെച്ചു.
വിവരം ഷാരൂഖ് ഖാന്‍ ട്വിറ്ററിലൂടെയാണ് ആരാധകരെ അറിയിച്ചത്.
'സുരക്ഷയുടെ ഭാഗമായ നടപടികളെ ബഹുമാനിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. എന്നാല്‍, യാത്ര തടസപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന വിധം തടഞ്ഞുവെക്കുന്നതില്‍ കടുത്ത നിരാശയുണ്ടെന്നും' ഷാരൂഖ് ഖാന്‍ ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്തു.
2009ലും 2012 ഏപ്രിലിലും യു.എസ് സന്ദര്‍ശനത്തിനിടെ ഷാരൂഖ് ഖാനെ ന്യൂ!യോര്‍ക്ക് വിമാനത്താവളത്തിലെ ഇമിഗ്രേഷന്‍ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ രണ്ടു മണിക്കൂര്‍ തടഞ്ഞുവെച്ചിരുന്നു.
താരത്തെ തടഞ്ഞ സംഭവത്തില്‍ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ യു.എസ് മിഷന്‍ ഉപമേധാവി ഡൊണാള്‍ഡ് ലുവിനെ വിളിച്ചുവരുത്തി കേന്ദ്രസര്‍ക്കാര്‍ അന്ന് പ്രതിഷേധം അറിയിച്ചിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട് യു.എസ് ദേശീയ വകുപ്പ് വക്താവ് മാര്‍ക് ടോണര്‍ സംഭവത്തില്‍ ഖേദം പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുകയുണ്ടായി.

SRK detained at US airport, US diplomats apologize
Mumbai, Aug 12 Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan said he was detained at a US airport. After US diplomats apologized, the actor said he respects protocol but being stopped is "a tad inconvenient".
"I fully understand and respect security with the way the world is, but to be detained at US immigration every damn time really really sucks," Shah Rukh said in a tweet posted on Friday morning.
The actor flew into Los Angeles for personal reasons, a source close to SRK said.
US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Nisha Biswal tweeted: "Sorry for the hassle at the airport - even American diplomats get pulled for extra screening!"
In response, Shah Rukh tweeted: "No hassle ma'am. Respect the protocol, not expecting to be above it. Appreciate your graciousness, it's just inconvenient."
The US ambassador to India, Richard Verma, also apologized to the superstar.
"Sorry for the trouble at LAX ... We are working to ensure it doesn't happen again. Your work inspires millions, including in the US," Verma tweeted.
To him, Shah Rukh wrote: "No trouble sir, respect the protocol and not expecting to be above it. It's just a tad inconvenient. Thanks for your concern."
The actor, whose millions of fans are spread across the world and is one of the highest paid actors of Hindi cinema, kept himself entertained during the detention.
"The brighter side is while waiting caught some really nice Pokemons," he posted.
This is not the first time Shah Rukh was detained at a US airport.
In 2012, he was detained at New York for two hours when he had arrived to visit Yale University, where he was honoured as a Chubb Fellow.
In 2009, he was stopped at the Newark Airport, New Jersey, and was released after two hours at the intervention of the Indian consulate in New York.
Back then, he had said he was "really hassled at the American Airport because of my name being Khan.
"I felt angry and humiliated... It is a Muslim name and I think the name is common on their checklist."

Shah Rukh Khan detained at US airport again
Mumbai, Aug 12 (IANS) Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan says he was detained at a US airport.
In a tweet, he said: "I fully understand and respect security with the way the world is, but to be detained at US immigration every damn time really really sucks," read a post from Shah Rukh's official Twitter handle on Friday morning (IST).
Precise details of when and why he was detained were not known. But Bollywood sources have said the actor was in Los Angeles.
On a positive note, he wrote: "The brighter side is while waiting caught some really nice Pokemons."
This is not the first time that Shah Rukh, one of Hindi film industry's most successful stars, has been detained in the US.

Very good. I appreciate the Losangelless security staff. They did the duty deligently and correctly. Shrak khan, who cares here in America? Security first. For Indians may be filim God. In India the filim stars can get away with godley previlages, also they can get away with crime. Here justice for all. I am indian born ordinary USA citizen, How many times the Indian security and USA security detained me you know and I have no compaint for that and there was nobody to write news about that. Then what? Whether Mmmootty or shrk or suesh gopi or Mohn lalan who cares, every body is equal here and under go security check up and if necessary security detention. That is justice. The justice of Jisa, the justice of TP Chandrasekhar, the Bar kozha such cases and subsequent clearences will not work here.System may not be perfect but normally here in USA the justice works without political interventiopn or corruption.

It shows the inefficiency and callous attitude of immigration officials. Khan faced the same situation twice earlier. Why did not the officials keep a record, so that they will know he is a well known film star? Or should he face the humiliation each time?
It is an un-American behavior to harrass people for nothing. It should be challenged.
