തൃശൂര് ചേലക്കര ചെത്തിപ്പുഴ വീട്ടില് ഏലിയാമ്മ മത്തായി ആണു ഭാര്യ.
മക്കള്: ജോണ്, ജെസി, വില്സണ്, ലീന.
മരുമക്കള്: റെജി, Mince, ടീന.
കൊച്ചുമക്കള്: ഗബ്രിയേല, സ്റ്റീഫന്, കെവിന്, ക്രിസ്റ്റീന, സാറാ, ജോഷ്വ.
Viewing will take place on Friday November 8 from 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm at St. Peters Mar Thoma Church, 70 Cedar Lane, Teaneck, NJ.
The funeral services will be held on Saturday November 9th from 9:00am to 11:00am at St. Peters Mar Thoma church followed by burial at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Road, Paramus, New Jersey.

John Mathai, lovingly known as Mathaichan, was born in Pandanadu,
Chengannur, Kerela on February 21, 1937
to late Mariamma John and Geevarghese John. After completing his education, he
left Kerala in 1959 and joined the Indian Military Engineering Services (MES) in
Jamnagar, Gujarat.
Under MES, he worked in various places including Barmir and Pune before he immigrated
to United States
in 1973. Soon after he settled in US, he joined the Manhattan
Developmental Center
and worked as a
Senior Administrator until he retired in 2002.
On May 10, 1964,
Mathaichan married Aleyamma Mathai of Chethipuzha house, Chelakkara, Thrissur. Together
they lived 54 blessed years.
Mathaichan was one of the founding members of the first MarThoma
Church in the Tri-State area. He
was instrumental in the formation of the St. Peter’s MarThoma
Church, Teaneck,
New Jersey. Mathaichan was an active member
of the parish and
served the church in various capacities.
Mathaichan is survived by his family that he loved so dearly,
his wife Aleyamma. Sons; John and Wilson, Daughters; Jessy and Leena, Son-in-law;
Reji, Daughter-in-laws; Mince and Tina, Grandchildren; Gabriella, Stephen,
Kevin, Christina, Sarah, and
Joshua. He also leaves behind his Siblins: Kunjamma, Ammini,
Omana, Thankachan, Joy, and Kunjumon as well as many nieces, nephews, and
cousins.
