The woman accused of shooting a young mother and the Brooklyn-born man charged with hiring her to kill his wife were both in the same place Monday - behind bars in New Jersey.

Antoinette Stephen, 26, and Kashif Parvaiz, 26, are facing charges in the murder-for-hire slaying of Nazish Noorani, 27. Noorani's two-timing husband, Parvaiz, is charged with hiring Stephen, a Best Buy worker, to kill his wife.

Parvaiz, Noorani and their 2-year-old son were walking in Boonton, N.J., last Tuesday when Stephen opened fire, authorities said. Parvaiz had Stephen shoot him four times in the shoulder and leg in an effort to throw cops off their trail, authorities said.

Stephen, who was collared Thursday, is being held in lieu of $5 million bond at the Morris County Correctional Facility in Morristown.

Parvaiz was released Monday afternoon from Morristown Medical Center, where he was treated for his wounds, and moved to the same lockup as his alleged accomplice.

He is being held in lieu of $1 million bond, charged with murder, endangering the welfare of a child, conspiracy and other crimes.

Court dates for Parvaiz and Stephen have not been set, officials said. Stephen fired the deadly shots as the couple's toddler looked on in horror, authorities said.

Parvaiz, who is Pakistani-American, initially tried to make it look as if he and his wife were victims of a hate crime.

His story unraveled when Parvaiz broke under questioning - and cops found incriminating text messages between him and Stephen, court papers show.

Prosecutors have yet to detail the nature of the relationship between Parvaiz and Stephen, apart from the conspiracy to commit murder.
