Awesome is our God and awesome are the things He does.

Saw He the fall of man even before He created and put him in the Garden of Eden.

Designed He a magnificent Plan of Salvation to save the sheep gone astray.

Set He a Calendar and timed He the events in the order they would unfold.

A Lamb was set aside to be slain for the sins of the world.

The Lamb was none other than His own Son.

God so loved the world that He offered His only begotten Son as a “propitiation”.

A birth, a death and a resurrection, all were parts of His well-knit Salvation Plan.

Chose He the people and the places well in advance to execute His plan.

The Womb of a Virgin was chosen to conceive the Son of God,

Virgin became pregnant and gave birth to a child whom they called “Jesus”.

The Child grew up and the Spirit of the Lord was upon Him.

Preached He the kingdom of God, healed He the sick,

Raised He the dead, fed the hungry and freed the oppressed.

“He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him”.

Marveled at the miracles He performed,

But they accepted Him not as the promised “Messiah”

Plotted they to take His life away accusing Him of offenses He never committed.

Sentenced to die on the cross though found not guilty.

Father God who prepared the Womb for His son to be conceived,

Forgot not to prepare a Tomb for His Son’s body to rest.

Chose He a Tomb hewn out of the rock where no one ever lain before.

Joseph of Arimathea, a good and just man, God chose to bury His Son.

Took he down the body of Jesus, wrapped it in linen and laid it in the Tomb.

Up from the Tomb, He rose up the Third Day fulfilling the Scripture.

He has risen from the dead and He lives forever.

“The Chosen Tomb” tells how awesome our God is,

Chooses He first and then uses what He chooses in the fullness of time.
