MY INDIA (english poem: Rita George)
India is my country
Pledged all the Indians
Who are believed to be patriots
But there is a traitor… who is it?
The ti-color flutter everywhere
We salute it and express gratitude
But there is 'one' to curtail
It's time to pick that 'one'.
Great leaders dreamt of heights and
Inculcated the spirit of fraternity
While the 'one' is sawing the seeds of chaos
But could not spot the odd one.
It's a secular state, said Ambedkar
where is a prime place for communal
riots

United the leaders but split the culprits
No one to stop the danger?
Vandemataram chanted Chatterjee
Jayahe, sang Tagore while 'Do or die'
Bapuji

Where are the values today?
Died or killed?

Lord Krishna urged Arjuna
To wage a war of righteousness
Today's chariots led by the rulers
aim to slay kith and kin
The truth triumphs or deteriorate?
Oh! What a contradiction?
Pray we can: let the leaders at least
dedicate not sacrifice for the motherland.

JAI  HIND!
