why chicago malaylee association has to give a treat to the bishop of Syro malabar chruch. It is now found practice for the malaylee assocation (depend up on the president )to celebrate functions with thier own chruch people. CMA has couple office bearers with Syro malabar and kanana and IMA with Msrthoma and Midwest with latin catholic. Why these all assocation give their nams as malayalee association (malayalee means all people belongs to kerala,no caste no color)Shame to all. When they come to USA all forget about kerala and their religion comes up first. If any malayalee assocation(either socoal or economical or work related ) please donot include religion in that.It is common thing found now a days that any function the lightining of a Nilavilakku (nilavilakku is a sign of kerala),have cross in that nilavilakku. Nilavilakku donot represent any religion but if there is a cross, it represent a particular religion. Sorry to wrtie this but it is a common true in malayalee association found all over USA. Religion should not come in associations.

Is there any harm in congratulating the bishop? he too is a malayalee! If a Hindu or Muslim got a similar position, the organizations will definitely congratulate them. what is the big deal here?
he is worried about the cross on the nilavilakku. Unfortunately, there are few nilavilakku in the US without a cross. If one without a cross is available, people will use it.

dear keralite, I never see any association is giving a receiption to any Muslim/hindu leaders when they come to USA.

The writer Pappy says that Christians became Christians for some material gain. also, it happened because Hindus have caste system. These are two stand lies by Hindutva groups. Christians moved to becuase they thought it a better ideology, especially the belief in one god. If caste is the reason, why all lower caste dont change? The lower caste, who came to America suddenly think they are Brahmins. They learned that they are equal human beings in a Christian country. But they started to attack Christianity more venomously than upoper castes in America. Sad.
