CROSS NOT A CURSE BUT A CURE (Philip Eapen)

CROSS NOT A CURSE BUT A CURE (Philip Eapen)
To the world, Cross is a shame and to die on the Cross is a curse.
The most cruel and inhuman way to bring one’s life to an end.
The sufferings and agony have no bounds.
It is a mockery to those who pass by.
But years some two thousand ago, they nailed someone to a Cross.
He was crucified not for the sins He committed, but for the sins of the world.
Came He down to the earth leaving all His glory in heaven behind.
A Savior in human form to save the sinners.
He came to His own, but they accepted Him not.
Accused Him of offenses He never committed.
Succeeded in getting a sentence for Him to die on the Cross.
Thought they put an end to His life and His mission forever.
Failed they to understand that He was the Son of God.
And He was God Himself in human flesh.
The Cross on which my Savior was hung has a glory and honor,
Hidden to the vicious world and its fans.
That Cross has an awesome power for it was designed by Father God.
It is the Cure for your spiritual sickness.
Come to the Cross and lay down your burdens
The Cross will set you free and free forever.
So we honor the Cross and call it “a Cure not a Curse”.
