ആത്‌മാവ്‌സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നതുപോലെനമ്മള്‍ക്ക്‌ മുന്തിരി
തോട്ടത്തില്‍പോയിമുന്തിരിപ്പഴങ്ങള്‍ശേഖരിച്ച്‌
പിഴിഞ്ഞ്‌പഴയകുംബങ്ങളില്‍സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവയ്‌ക്കാം.
നമ്മള്‍ക്ക്‌ പാര്‍പ്പിടങ്ങളിലേക്ക്‌മടങ്ങാംകാരണം
കാറ്റ്‌മൂലംഇലകള്‍ പഴുത്ത്‌വീഴാനും ഗ്രീഷ്‌മത്തിന്‌
വിലാപകാവ്യം മന്ത്രിയ്‌ക്കുന്ന കൊഴിയുന്ന പുഷ്‌പങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌
മൂടുപടംഇടാനും തുടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
എന്റെ നിത്യകാമുകി നീ വീട്ടിലേക്ക്‌മടങ്ങിവരിക
ഏകാന്തതയുടെകഠിന വ്യഥകളേവിട്ടിട്ട്‌ പറവകള്‍
ചെറുചൂടിലേക്ക്‌ പരദേശയാത്ര നടത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
മുല്ലപൂവിനും സുഗന്ധച്ചെടിക്കുംഒട്ടുംതന്നെ
കണ്ണീരില്ലാതായിരിക്കുന്നു.
നമ്മള്‍ക്ക്‌ പിന്‍്‌വാങ്ങാം, കാരണംതളര്‍ന്ന കൊച്ചരുവികളുടെ
ഗാനം നിലച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുകൂടാതെ നീര്‍ക്കുമിളകളുടെ
കണ്ണീരിന്റെഉറവിടംവറ്റിപോയിരിക്കുന്നു. പഴയമലകള്‍
അതിന്റെവര്‍ണപ്പകിട്ടാര്‍ന്ന വസ്‌ത്രങ്ങള്‍
ജാഗ്രതയോടെകരുതിമാറ്റിവച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
പ്രേമഭാജനമെവന്നാലും; പ്രകൃതിസത്യമായും
ക്ഷീണിതയാണ്‌അതോടൊപ്പ ശാന്തിയുടേയും
തൃപ്‌തിയുടേയും മധുരസംഗീതം ആലപിച്ച്‌വിടവാങ്ങുകയാണ്‌.

Let us retreat, for the tired brook has
Ceased its song; and the bubble some springs
Are drained of their copious weeping; and
The cautious old hills stored away
Their coloruful garments.
Come my beloved; Nature is justly weary
And is bidding her enthusiasm farewell
With quiet and contended melody
